It was to be another long day on the interstate, so I headed out early so I might have some relaxing time before the next phase of my adventure. It was windy, requiring hands firmly placed at 10 and 2 to hold my lightweight vehicle on the road. There were signs along the way to watch out for dust storms and while none hit the highway, they were evident off to the south.
No great pics today, and no rugged hikes. Just some road time, laundry, pool time and then met up with the REI group that I will be spending the next 6 days with. As I’ve experienced in the past, people on these adventures tend to be like minded and well travelled and this is no exception. We will head tomorrow to hike in Sedona and then to the rim of Grand Canyon to get an early start hiking into the Canyon early Monday morning. It should be gorgeous weather and some amazing nature. Hopefully I will post some more tomorrow night before losing touch for several days.
And so it continues….
I am just going to IMAGINE the pictures until you regain internet! LOVE The one with you and the waterfall. And the panorama of the sunset? Wow. And who’s that cute older guy? Is that an ostrich?!
