Day 11: Sarasota, near Siesta Key

Not much to report today… we rode our bikes to a “from scratch” bakery this morning for a wonderful breakfast sandwich with candied bacon.  Erica had decided to go back to the Ringling compound today, and I chose to do some laundry and bike out to the beach.

The weather continued to be cloudy and not all that warm, but I biked out to Siesta Key to walk the sand and do some shelling.  It was windy and misty, so after a short time I headed back.  Biggest excitement was the draw bridge going up to let a sailboat go by on my way back.  By the time I got back to the room the sun was out, so I sat and read the paper in our little side yard.

Not many pictures or alot of activity.  i was excited to see that Survivor had begun it’s latest season, so our dinner/evening at Senor Siesta ended with the last hour of the season opener of the latest!  Tomorrow we are leaving Sarasota and heading north.
